New TMC1175AN2C20 20MSPS 8-bit video a/d converter

These items are NEW TMC1175AN2C20: High Speed, 20MSPS, 8-Bit Video A/D Converters, manufactured by Fairchild Semiconductor. They are packaged in the N2 (24 Pin 300 Mil plastic DIP) type package. This plastic DIP type packaging is the best one for breadboarding and is the easiest to use for R and D, for experiments, and for hobby projects.
Here is a link for a data sheet for these fine chips.
The current production models have been limited since 2002 to the M7 (24 Pin SOIC) and the R3 (28 Pin PLCC) package types. This makes these fine chips in the N2 packaging more and more rare. This plastic DIP type packaging, however, is the best one for breadboarding and is the easiest to use for R and D.
Here is some comparative price data:
Mouser.com is now selling this same exact chip in its two current production packaging options. Here is the URL for the relevant Mouser.com catalog page (so that you can see for yourself): http:// /catalog/619/182.pdf.
The R3 (28 Pin PLCC) package is now selling for $16.95 each (Mouser.com P/N 512-TMC1175AR3C20). This N2 (24 PIN plastic DIP) packaging would be selling for about 10% more than this, or $18.65 each (approximately - and probably even more than this).
