4701 MONOLEC INDUSTRIAL LUBRICANT
Smooth Red EP 1 Central Lube System Grease. 4701 Industrial Lubricant is specially designed for centralized lubrication systems. It is a medium extreme pressure greases and has excellent pumpability characteristics. As a MONOLEC lubricant, 4701 is waterproof and will not form permanent emulsions where moisture is present. It contains special rust preventative additives and is NLGI Grade 1.
This industrial lubricant reduces wear, provides exceptional film strength and protects against metal-to-metal contact and scoring. It is easily pumpable down to -40 °F (-40 °C) with excellent mechanical stability. It is unaffected by central or conventional dispensing systems. Not only does this industrial lubricant have high oxidation resistance, but it maintains consistency after being repeatedly heated and cooled. This results in lower maintenance and replacement costs through complete and effective lubrication. The grease does not harden on aging or oxidize and is easily pushed out by fresh grease. This product reduces downtime because of smooth, cool performance.
4701 is typically used in centralized and automatic lubrication systems, high speed bearings, injection molding machines, grit collectors and primary sludge, concrete block form machinery, low temperature gearboxes and bearings, and bottling machines. Centralized lubrication systems are indirect lubrication systems in which a pump feeds the lubricant from a reservoir through supply lines to valves that inject a measured amount of lubricant into each bearing. Centralized lubricant systems vary from simple to very complex designs.
