This is a compact, self-contained fabric dust collector that came out of high school shop and is in very good shape. The unit consist of a flat bottom, unitized housing, internal fan and motor, built-in silencing, removable filter, manual shaker, and dust bin. The motor is a 5hp - 3phase and the manufacturers plate says size: 1600 so I assume that means 1600cfm.
Dust laden air enters the unit through a lower inlet located at the left. The air is then directed upward, causing separation and deposition of the larger, heavier dust particles directly into the dust bin. This greatly reduces the dust load to the filter envelope. The finer dust particles are collected on the surface of the filter as the air passes through. The air then flows into the fan, and is exhausted into a built-in silencing chamber and out of the top of the unit.
Collected dust is discharged from the surface of the filter pocket by a manual, cam actuated arm assembly, which is located on the side of the unit.
Unit would be great for a smaller shop. Also include is several feet of heavy duty pipe.
