This manual covers operations, maintenance and servicing of the Tektronix 5A38 Oscilloscope Plugin. It is scanned from the original manufacturer's manual. The scans came out well, and all information available in the original manual is available here.
Two PDFs of the manual are provided, in two resolutions. One is:
Text with Drawings at 600dpi black and white or grayscale (content-dependent)
Schematics at 600dpi black and white or grayscale (content-dependent)
Text with photos at 600dpi (minimum) grayscale with contrast adjusted
Check out the samples linked to above... we actually scan at the resolutions and depths we claim. That's a lot more rare than "marketers" would have you know!
The other PDF is done in resolutions that vary depending on individual page content, but are never higher than needed to produce a useable quality, quickly navigable file that will do the job without consuming more time and resources than are needed.
Also, we include a "foldouts.pdf" with the 11x17" foldout pages from the manual scanned full-size (one piece) (if a foldout is larger than 11x17" it's provided in two 11x17" pages). Please note that the foldout pages are ALSO included sectioned as 8.5 x 11" pages in the main manual.
We send you both both resolutions and both foldout page sizes on the CD. You'll receive the large file, plus the smaller, faster text-searchable version, plus the 11x17" "foldouts" file. That way, you can navigate, search and etceteras with the fast file and only use the large file when you want to print. There's no need to clutter up your drives with hundreds of megabytes of files, nor any need to spend time writing them to and from the hard drive if you aren't the sort who likes to waste space. Yet the extra-large PDF is still provided for when you need exceptional print quality. All original manual pages are supplied in both resolutions, with no pages added or subtracted.
Both PDFs of the manual have both the chapter-page numbering system ("electronic manual page numbers match paper manual page numbers") and the sequential (logical) page numbering system. Both resolution versions are well bookmarked and hyperlinked, and of course the smaller, faster version is also text-searchable!

1. We didn't have to go through and remove digital signatures and etceteras, meaning far less chance of a missing page.
2. On the off-chance that you should find a missing page, we have the original paper copy and so can correct any errors.
