March pump te-5C-md 1PH

The MARCH Model TE-5 is similar in nature to the AC-5 in that the performance is the same and most of the parts are interchangeable. It is the beginning of the highly corrosive series and the first pump that an impeller trim is available for solutions with a specific gravity of 1.0 or more. The complete nomenclature of the TE-5 pump, as with all MARCH pumps, requires some explanation. The term "TE" indicates a highly corrosive pump with an encapsulated impeller magnet assembly and compatible "O" ring; and second, the TE indicates that the motor is totally enclosed fan cooled. It should be noted here that other motors are available for this model, such as air cooled, explosion proof and submersible. In some cases, letter portions of the nomenclature are a designation of the wetted material that will come in contact with the solution that is to be pumped. The "C" in the model number, in it's origin, indicated that the pump was manufactured with threaded connections. However, the "K" is an indicator of Kynar material (PVDF) and lastly the "S" signifies a metallic pump head of 316 stainless steel.
All series 5 pumps are available with either threaded or hose type connections. The exception is the stainless steel version; flanged or threaded connections are available.
As with all MARCH pumps, the latter two letters of the model number (MD) indicate that the pump is magnetically coupled to the motor.
All TE models have two things in common; a TEFC motor and an encapsulated impeller magnet assembly. There are major differences between the C, K, and S models in the wetted materials, type of bushings and "O" rings. Materials of construction are of a wide variety and are unique to each model. The standard TE-5C-MD pump wet end is made of glass filled polypropylene and the impeller assembly is of polypropylene. The bushing material is also of polypropylene. Both the spindle and the front thrust washer are of high grade ceramic. The standard "0" ring for this model is Viton®.
The TE-5K-MD is designed to handle difficult solutions and the variations in internal components are similar to that of the C model.
While performance and motor are the same, the TE-5S-MD wet end assembly and impeller magnet assembly are manufactured of 316 stainless steel. The carbon bushing allows the pump to handle a wide variety of solutions and affords a dry run capability not found in other models. Other bushing materials are available as well as numerous types of "O" rings. The standard spindle is ceramic; a stainless steel spindle is available. The TE-5S-MD does not utilize a rear washer.
Variations in wetted materials on the TE-5 are some of the widest in the MARCH line. Most components are interchangeable from one number S to another. This affords maximum compatibility with a wide variety of solutions.
Uses for the TE-5-MD pump are numerous and varied; some of the more popular applications include computer cooling, circulation of photographic chemicals and transfer of highly corrosive chemicals.
SERIES 5 PUMPS INCLUDE MODELS:
Flow rates range from 0 to 18 GPM maximum. Feet of head range from 0' to 29' maximum.
1" smooth inlet X ½" smooth outlet.
The 5C-MD and LC-5C-MD use 1/8 HP, 2800 rpm, 115 Volt, single phase, 60 Hz. motor.
The AC-5C-MD uses a 1/8 HP, 3200 rpm, 115 Volt, single phase, 50/60 Hz. motor.
Models TE-5C, TE-5K, and TE-5S, all use a 1/5 HP, 3450 rpm, 115/230 Volt, single phase, 50/60 Hz., TEFC motor.
Air motors are available. Explosion Proof motors available on AC and TE models. Suffix AM = Air Motor.
An array of materials can be used - epoxy encapsulated motors, polypropylene, Ryton®, carbon filled Kynar, 316 stainless steel, ceramic, ceramic magnet, Buna N, and Viton® O'rings. Carbon bushings available. Other bushing materials available for various chemical solutions.
A wide variety of applications include film processors, marine air conditioners, refrigerators, small scrubbers and detergent mixers. The TE-5K Kynar® constructed unit has been successfully used in the plating industry. Pumping strong halogen solutions, strong chromic or sulfuric acid solutions.
