Mori Seiki only makes one larger machine than this. This is ideal for large heavy duty work. The machine was pictured while in operation in a Southern California plant. It has now been cleaned, painted, and stored in a warehouse. The year is approx 1981, retro fitted with a 1996 Fanuc 18T general numeric control.
Two large 370mm square turrets, with 16-ton clamping forces, use Mori Seiki's exclusive Ø320mm curvic couplings for extremely accurate, heavy duty cutting. Both front and rear turrets mount four cutting tools, for a total of eight in all. The front turret is primarily used for O.D. cutting and facing work, while the while the rear is for I.D. cutting. The coolant supply system has been specially designed to allow direct lubrication of tools for processing of long workpieces. For Heavy cutting, the tail stock center is incorporated in the tail stock quill (180mm or 7-1/8'') and supported by a double row of cylindrical rollers and thrust bearings.

Machinery movers will be contracted to remove the item from our showroom and load it on to an open-bed freight truck.
