These vut off wheels are extra large and typiclly used in by fire departments in emergency rescue in gas power cut off saws. I got there surplus to a railroad track laying company and they were using then to cut railroad track. 24 grit and very agressive material removal should make quick work of smaller items..
PFERD thin wheels cut faster than conventional wheels, leaving a cleaner cut, with minimal burr. Ideally suited for thin gauge sheet stock, thin walled tubing and small diameter cross sections. Material should always be cut at a right angle to the work piece. Larger work pieces require thicker PFERD cut-off wheels for improved lateral stability. PFERD Thin Type 1 wheels are fully reinforced, and conform to U.S. safety standards as well as more stringent European safety standards.
