#1 7" Portable Walking Foot Machines are approximately 40 LBS. 9" Gate Portable Walking Foot Machines are only 42 LBS. TuffSew designed our 9" machine to be very similar in weight. The machine is completely portable.
#3 SELF OILING Portable Walking Foot Sewing Machines do not exist. Think about it....where is the oil going? All self-oiling machines should and must have an oil bed which the machine sits into. Where is the oil bed?? All the major oiling spots in a portable walking foot machine are underneath the machine. You do this by hand only. Otherwise there is going to be a major MESS. The only way a self oiling portable machine would exist if the machine is set into an industrial stand, within a bed of oil, and the oiling system designed to hit all the major oiling points underneath the machine.There is no such thing as old or new technology with self oiling machines. Everything needs to be completely sealed from the bottom of the machine to the oil pan. DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE PURCHASING A SELF OILING PORTABLE SEWING MACHINE.

This model also features a geared belt pulley drive which provides greater penetration power, and longer belt life. First, a built-in walking foot machine has a built in walking foot mechanism rather than a standard presser foot. The next advantage is our double geared belt which prevents slippage. Industrial strength machines have only one rubber or nylon belt. Rubber/Nylon belts will slip and your sewing project may be in jeopardy. The most important advantage of having a walking foot machine is that this machine can handle thick nylon bonded thread. The industrial strength machine cannot handle this thread and its outcome is a looped stitch under the bottom of the material.
