This is an adjustable back pressure regulator valve usually used when combining high and low temperature refrigeration on one condensing unit. It appears to have been installed but IS in its original box. Probably best suited for R12 but is adjustable to a back pressure from 0 to 40 pounds.
This came from Grandpa's estate along with many other HVAC parts and some tools.
