Therm-X-Trol ST Series Expansion Tank
The Therm-X-Trol is installed in the supply line between the backflow preventer and the water heater. Its sealed-in air pre-charge prevents water from entering it until the system pressure exceeds the pre-charge pressure.
As the water temperature rises, expanded water enters the Therm-x-trol's non-corrosive water reservoir.
As hot water is used, the pressure in the air chamber forces water back into the system until the Therm-x-trol is empty.
It is IAPMO listed (International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials.) It's listed under 150 PSIG
Maximum operating Temp is 200F
Good for Residential Water Heaters that are atleast 120 gallons and 80 psi.
Good for Commercial Water Heaters between 80 gallons with a 60-80 psi, and 120 gallons with 40-80 psi.
Materials: Steel Shell, Polypropylene liner, Butyl Diaphragm
