When you compare the Elite series to others, you will quickly notice many advantages that make the Elite series true to its name; elite. For example, the Elite series is one of the very few systems available in market that fully meets and complies with all US and Canadian quality and safety standards (UL Certified). Most equipment in US and Canada must be approved for safety by an approved testing organization. UL (Underwriters Laboratory) is one such organization. It is a sad fact that many basement bargain suppliers simply disregard this important requirement and subject consumers to unsafe and substandard products. The UL certified control panel and the electrical components of the Elite series, qualify the Elite series as safe and suitable equipment for operation, installation and use in US and Canada.
They are equipped with a comprehensively equipped control panel, featuring an array of receptacles, displays and control functions. Not all generators are created equal. Appearances may look deceptively similar. However, it is the critical components integrated into a diesel generator that determine its performance and durability. For example, the ball bearings in any generator are among the most critical components. They are subjected to substantial level of heat and friction. Failure to use the best quality ball-bearings will substantially shorten the life of the generator. Many diesel generators currently in the market use either substandard, secondhand or unqualified ball bearings. This will lead to poor output/performance of the generator and will dramatically shorten the life of the generator. In contrast, Ramsond generators use the most premium ball bearings. The ball bearings of Ramsond Elite series are manufactured by some of the world's leading producers, such as NSK, SKF or General Bearing. Ramsond diesel generators incorporate the latest innovations in power generation technology, such as the latest generation of AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator), laser balanced crankshaft, heavy duty flywheel, premium starter, fully copper alternator, etc. Again, all components are selected to ensure superior performance and durability. This is the reason that many suppliers offer short warranties (if any) or short warranties. In contrast, Ramsond provides one of the best warranties in the market for its Elite series. Ramsond Elite diesel generators are super quiet, powerful, versatile and safe.
Ramsond Elite 6500 uses a true true 186FA (E), 11 HP, 418 cc engine. Many suppliers supply similar appearance generators (with misrepresented claims of output). However, a detailed inquiry quickly reveals that these other generators are equipped with a substandard and primitive 408cc (186F) engine, which produce only 9 HP. Therefore, the rated power for those generators can typically reach a maximum of 4.7-4.9 kW. However, Ramsond Elite series provides a true 6500 W maximum power engine(actually tested at 6.9 kw).
With its standard preheating element, anticorrosion exterior finish, and UL approved electrical panel, the Elite series is designed and tested to operate in the harshest environments and start in the cold climates with ease.

UL APPROVED CONTROL PANEL AND COMPONENTS
There are some importers who are offering digital display meters on diesel generators. At first, this appeared to be an interesting feature and Ramsond Group has participated in testing of these digital panels. However, at the moment the quality of these digital panels are so poor, that nearly 50% of them (based on our test results) are defective or operate for a very short time before their quality is compromised. Furthermore, they have not been tested or approved by any testing facility. As such, Ramsond has concluded that these control panels (mostly made in China) are not of a quality standard acceptable to be incorporated into Ramsond products.

Installed Cold Start Pre-heater
All Ramsond Elite generators are equipped with a pre-heater glow plug element. The glow-plug remains on in the air intake passage and ensures that diesel fuel mixture vaporizes easier in the combustion chamber making starting easier for cold or during cold starts. It also has been proven to increase the efficiency of the generator.
Electrical Starter with Wireless Remote Control
All Ramsond Elite series generators come equipped with Electrical Start (key operated), as well as installed with wireless remote controlled starter. The wireless remote starter allows the operator to turn the Elite generator on and off from distances of up to 150 feet.

ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) OPTIONAL
All Ramsond Elite series are ATS READY and equipped with a 5 prong quick-connect ATS receptacle. When connected to the Elite generator, the ATS can continuously monitor the municipal electrical current. At the instance of loss of power, the microprocessor controlled ATS system sends a command to the generator's ignition system to start. The ATS will keep the generator running until such time that the municipal power is resumed, at which time it will send a command to the generator to shut off. The optional ATS is easy to connect and affordable. ATS is a highly recommended option, specially when your Elite series is intended for use as a back-up generator.
