New tig welding tungsten electrode sharpening tool

Newbie’s And First Timers Welcome! I Guarantee A Positive Experience!
StiloTig is the new patented hand-held tungsten electrode rotator imported from Italy that is very quick to use, practical and affordable. It does not need electric power or batteries to operate; it instead utilizes its patented mechanism to rotate the tungsten. Solid and lightweight, Stilo Tig is made of anodized aluminum and hardened steel and is designed for years of maintenance free service. StiloTig is produced in 2 models: one for sharpening electrodes 1/16" to 3/32” (1.6mm to 2mm) and another for electrodes from 1/8" to 5/32" (3.2mm to 4.0mm).
The Stilo Tig’s patented rotator mechanism means that the user need not worry about hand rotating the tungsten while grinding and can instead concentrate on obtaining the correct tip geometry and finish.
A pointed and/or truncated tip should be used for inverter AC and DC welding processes. To grind the tungsten properly, use a grinding wheel specially designated for tungsten grinding that is made of Borazon® or diamond
Grinding the tungsten fairly straight on the wheel versus at a 90-degree angle ensures that the grind marks run the length of the electrode. Doing so reduces the presence of ridges on the tungsten that could create arc wander or that could melt into the weld puddle, causing contamination. You need only enough angle on the tungsten to activate the Stilo Tig’s patented rotating mechanism.
Generally, you will want to grind the taper on the tungsten to a length of no more than 2.5 times the electrode diameter (for example, a 1/8-in. electrode would have a taper approximately 1/4 to 5/16 in. long). Grinding the tungsten to a taper eases the transition of arc starting and creates a more focused arc for better welding performance. Using the Stilo Tig allows the operator better control to achieve this. When rotating the tungsten by hand it can be difficult to center the point perfectly, thereby creating a long side and a short side tapered point. Stilo Tig automatically centers the point for a uniform grind every time.
Another great feature of the Stilo Tig is its ability to handle short tungstens. Short tungstens are a pain to sharpen by hand, they get hot and your hands are too close to the grinding wheel to comfortably rotate the electrode. With the Stilo Tig, your hands are away from the wheel, away from the tungsten and the Stilo Tig does all the rotating for you. This means that you no longer need to toss away those shorties, use them up until they’re gone. This translates into money and time savings.
